Welcome to School Hope High School !
A school should inspire love for learning while promoting children’s social and emotional growth, intellectual development and creativity. Children learn best in a positive environment with careful direction and guidance from teachers who demonstrate care and concern for each student. IFHope in Afghanistan is working in three inter-related areas; Economic Development, Community Empowerment, and Education. IFHope believes in and values partnership rather than competition and duplication. Throughout Afghanistan, when education was severely curtailed and schools everywhere had been severely damaged by years of war, attending classes was a grim experience. In 2000, IFHope was one of the NGO’s that initiated the education projects in Afghanistan and established Hope High School in a small building at Wazir Muhammad Akbar Khan Kabul. Rents escalated widely in early 2002 and the school moved into tents. Several classrooms were built in 2003 followed by the major construction of a modern school in 2010. Hope High School (HHS) encourages exploration and inquiry in an environment enriched with opportunities ensuring that students reach their full potential for academic achievement. HHS strives to give each student a lifelong appreciation of learning. The rich educational environment provides every student with a broad foundation of knowledge and practical experience. Students develop a sense of community while maintaining individuality and creative self-expression. At HHS, enrichment activities broaden students’ experience and stimulate their enthusiasm for learning.
